The site needed to draw in new visitors, keep the old ones happy, and greet virtual walk-ins from the brick-and-mortar stores as though they just walked in off the beach.

It did all of this and more.

Using WebLinc Direct eCommerce, Maui got a state-of-the-art product and content management system, stunning front-end design, and custom functionality that exceeded designated goals and set benchmark achievements for both client and vendor.

The homepage opens to a dynamic and manageable Flash module that greets visitors with seasonal messages, offers, sales and more. Previously only manageable by WebLinc’s internal staff, the Flash, from the text to images to the callouts and flyout-nav subpages, is now completely manageable by the Maui team. Mele Kalikimaka during winter holidays, summery ensembles in June – the marketing possibilities are limitless with WebLinc’s powerful backend technologies.

Product pages are sorted through a number of quick filters such as price range and top sellers, in addition to the usual categories like jewelry type, metals and stones. Each product has a “quick info” pop-up that provides some basic details as well as offering to “add to cart” before delivering the user to the product detail page. Once a visitor is on the product page, they can add to a wish list, email a friend, add to cart and see, through an elegant side scroll, an infinite number of related products and cross-sells.

Since teaming up with WebLinc, Maui Divers’ metrics have taken positive turns left and right, with visits and page views soaring as bounce rates plummeted. New visitors and returning visitors both showed up more and increased their time on site when they did. Fresh design, a leading-edge content management system, and custom front-end technology, however, are but pieces of Maui Divers’ amazing story.
